Bar Faucet
* For waiters / good people behind bars to help * a tap of beer stuck!?
for starters, I am over 21 years and am a responsible adult not to worry about a minor child asking about it. My friend has a bar and own a kegerator, so it is configured like any normal bar, below the barrel and handle and the handle comes in the bar. for some reason we can not understand the custom handle move. it feels like it is almost fixed in place? Is there a locking mechanism that comes with it? or is it just the pressure in the barrel. it does not move at all. I know this is probably a stupid question, but we new to this and we can not seem to get it! thank you very much (:-alice
It is probably just gummed. CO2 is turned off and disconnect the barrel wrench can disassemble the faucet and clean. There's a key ring which should have some "grip" on it and raised a couple of holes in the center of the ring. There is a simple key fit into the holes, making it easy to unscrew grip. If you can not find the key that you can use tweezers, but be careful not to scratch the ring. If you are facing the key is turned to the left. once you have the faucet handle can be unscrewed from the top of the key. find the textures right hand over the tap and simply unscrew hand. Once this is all it does is take out a part that has a seal on it that slides back and forth and allowing beer to flow. Clean inside the faucet and share with the board and should be good to go. Use a toothbrush or whatever you have to fit in there. There is a special line of beer cleaner you can use, but you can use a dishwashing detergent – just be sure to rinse before reassembly.
