Which Shower Curtain Is Best For Your Bathroom?

When deciding on a shower curtain for your bathroom, there are a myriad of choices available. Besides the various colors and patterns available, you can choose what kind of material the shower curtain is made from.

You can buy them made out of nylon, cotton, cotton blends, polyester and plastic. Nylon shower curtains are tough, durable and can last a long time. There are plenty of colors and designs to choose from and to make it easier, you can go online to check out the enormous range that is available.

If you are on a tight budget, plastic shower curtains may be your best option. These are usually cheap to buy, though they are not as long wearing as nylon or polyester fabrics.

The good thing about them is that you can give them a quick wipe over after your shower to prevent the build up of mould and mildew on them. A little bit of soap on a rag which is wiped over them regularly will keep them mildew free.

Fabric shower curtains do have a tendency to get mould and mildew on the bottom of them if they aren’t allowed to dry out properly after the shower is used. If you just pull the fabric shower curtain across the length of the bath it allows it to dry out a lot better than if it’s left scrunched together.

If you regularly launder your fabric shower curtains that can keep mould and mildew at bay. Also the use of shower curtain liners can also help. You can also buy shower curtains that are treated with an anti mildew agent which makes them very resistant to mildew.

You can purchase your shower curtains from various department stores but the best place to purchase them is online. There are a lot more to select from online, than a department store can carry and often times they are cheaper to buy online as well, especially if there is free shipping offered.

With the many choices of colors, patterns and materials available, you should have no problem in finding one to match your bathroom decor. It really comes down to what suits your taste and budget.
