White or cream for kitchen units?

And gloss or satin/matt finish?

This is a follow on from my previous question. I’ve decided on a black granite worktop and a fairly light (eg beech) wood floor. The room is large (6m x 5.2m) but only half of it will have units & island in. There are no children in the house, just naughty cats.

I think a cream satin finish will go best with your granite worktop and floor. The white might appear too sterile and bland, while the cream will create a subtle warm accent. The satin finish will also help in this, and is easier to keep clean and wont look worn as soon as a gloss finish would.
