Should I chill a bottle of wine without opening or open?

I have an automatic bottle cooler single wine that carries the wine at the correct temperature to drink. Should I open the bottle before or after you put it there? Thanks. I can drink a lot of red, which benefit from breathing anyway I can also "kill two birds with one stone" with the opening to breathe as it is chilling …. (I know that the Reds do not have to be much colder, but has to come to my house typical temp.)
