How do you get, find and hold onto…..?

your inspirations? I live in South Dakota, but fell in love with the whimsical character “Kokopelli” and the colorful story Myth behind him, the first time I’d seen him.
I’ve never been much of an artist, but became interested in doing paintings on canvas of him. I do weird rock, ceramic tile and wood pieces as my frames. It seems the only ones who maybe “pretend” they like them are my 4 grown children and their friends. The people around here haven’t even heard of Kokopelli, so I try and share the cute story behind him, and they don’t seem to get my weird ideas as art.
How does one get and keep their inspirations on doing something they love doing and keeping those inspirations?

Have you tried to find “Yahoo Groups” of people with similar interests? I joined some groups with crafting interests, I haven’t participated yet as far as posting pics of my crafts, still just getting ideas, but enjoy checking out the posts. Good luck.
