Water damage iPod not working?
My iPod nano 3G is really hot on the back where the chrome is and not turning on. I had a shower with the dock and playing music. I pressed the play button with a wet hand and I saw some water go under the button. This happens a lot but nothing happens. BTW it’s on a dock so charging as well, overheating maybe. Dead iPod or anyway to fix
PS I have an iPod touch so I won’t worry if I need to bin it
To dry it out completely you should try Silica Gel Packets. There was a good article on associatedcontent.com that explains how to dry an iPod, MP3 player, cell phones, or any electronics. You need to place your iPod in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the iPod and its components, something air drying will not do!
Just Google “Silica Gel Packets” and you will find several companies selling these products. There is also a web site called: http://www.SilicaGelPackets.com that has them.
