Convertible Futon

Is $300 too much to spend on a convertible lounger/futon from Wal-Mart.?

I really want it, but everyone is telling me that it’s too much to spend on a futon. Take a look and please tell me what you think.

It is a very sharp looking lounger, it looks like a clean contemporary sofa. It seems long in length which I like. It also seems much thicker than other ones I have seen and all of this will add to the cost. The truth is Walmart does not manufacture the furniture….they just sell it. So it does not matter where you buy one as it could still not be the best. So, I suggest giving it a try in the store if you can…a test drive so to speak. Yes there are futons out there that are $100 or so cheaper but they also look like it. This one does not.

I say that it is a bit pricey when you think of Walmart BUT on looks alone I think it is really sharp and I would put it in my home or in a home I stage and design for my clients. Truthfully, it has a high-end tailored look with out the price, so I say go for it, if it speaks to you. I always look at a sofa or like to see if I can get 2 years out of it to where it looks good & will hold up. If I get that, I am happy.
