Cotton Beach Towel

ironing stains from a towel on a cotton shirt?

I was recently ironing a cotton dress shirt on a beach towel and made a reddish mark on it. The mark seems to have come from the towel itself rather than something that was on the towel. So far I have tried baking soda and vinegar, soaking it in cold water with stain remover and dish detergent, and ironing the opposite side of the shirt to transfer the stain onto a white towel. Any suggestions?

sorry, I have no suggestions. here’s what happened, the red dye from the towel was set with the heat and steam from your ironing. if vinegar and baking soda aren’t working…..idk, have you tried bleach…only if the garment is white……or Oxy Clean? so sorry,
