Dining Lounge Chair
How can I stop my daughter climbing on my dining table?
She is 2 years old. She climbs on the chairs and onto the table whenever I leave the room. I dont want to get rid of the table as we all eat together as a family and I dont want to be eating off a tray on my lap. The table has to be in the lounge, there is no other room for it. Any ideas how to stop her climbing?
Discipline usually does the trick. You have to do it right with a young kid, but a two year old can definitely understand “no” with the proper motivation.
It might not be as good of a method, but if your floor is carpet you can put Vaseline on the edges. If she falls down enough she might give it up altogether. There are better ways, though.
