Door Cabinet Organizer

Can you help with some decorating?

I have been dying to re-decorate my room. I have a big cabinet that was originally part of a 3 piece bed thing. :] I really want to turn it into a really good organizer. It has 3 shelves, a cubby, and 2 drawers. I wish it could have more drawers, but I was thinking I could just put little plastic drawers in the cubby. I was hoping to find a way to get a little bulletin board onto the doors, but I’m still trying to figure that out. What should I do to make it look nicer and more organized? Also, would it be a good idea to paint it white? It’s brown right now. Oh, and a few more questions, for those who are willing to answer. Are Vanity’s nice to have in a room instead of a plain computer desk.. that I don’t have a computer on? What is a good way to organize a SMALL walk in closet that has a big, white, wooden box that takes up like 1/5 of it?! Thanks to those who take the time to answer these questions!

First of all, don’t paint the cabinet. Over time the paint will chip and it’ll look really bad.

Instead of putting more drawers in, think of putting baskets on those shelves.

You could either glue or screw a bulletin board onto the doors. If you glue it, I’d suggest taking the door off and laying it flat until the glue dries.

I’m not sure about the computer desk. If it has a back on it, you could glue a piece of mirror on it (the same way as above). If it doesn’t have a back, you can simply buy a mirror and hang it on the wall. Check Lowe’s or Home Depot, they have reasonable prices on mirrors.
