Egyptian Cotton Towels
how do i keep my bath towels bright white?
I bought some really nice thick and thirsty, fluffy 600 thread count white Egyptian cotton bath towels and wash clothes and now they are not bright white anymore, they are crunchy and full of lint. What did I do to them and can I fix it?
~~Here is how I have washed my towels and kept them really white. Use your soap, then in the bleach dispenser fill with Hydrogen Peroxide. In the softener dispenser use white vinegar in place of the softener. The peroxide keeps them white and the vinegar makes them soft, but doesn’t coat them and keeps them thirsty. I also double rinse mine and use hot water. This has made them stay new looking for literally years now. I’m not sure why you are getting so much lint, it might just be because of how thick and fluffy they are. Maybe this will go away after a few more dryings. Be sure you do not put any colored items in with them, that also would cause a lint problem as well as darken the white. Sounds like awesome towels!~~
