A Corona electric chainsaw oil tank supposed to have a hole in the side for oil to go?

I have an electric chain Crown saw. Oil flows. I took it apart and the hole in the oil tank, obviously, oil communicated in the chain is quite large. Is it this hole is supposed to be there? Is it supposed to be the size of the end of a "white board marker? Should I try to plug the hole?

The oil is supposed to sprout, but the blade guide. You might be missing the eye of the oil. XX
