Is the AFL being too soft with our elite players?
This question comes on the back of the last question i asked.
There is no footy for 4 to 5 months, depending on how you look at it. we are sending a team to play International rules against Ireland. this starts soon. our elite players are doing sweet bugger all at the moment. and they should be representing our country.
How important is this fixture against the Irish. if we are not going to send our best troops onto the battle field. do these elite bunch and the AFL consider these games as friendly games. with the out come having very little relevance to them. I have seen quite a few of these games. they are far from friendly.
My question to the AFL is very clear on this. if you were going into do battle against an overseas opponent. wouldn’t you want too assemble the best men for the job. to represent our country?
