How close should my game consoles be to one another?

I have a Playstation 3 and a Wii. I recently had to send my Wii in for repairs, which essentially saw my Wii getting its disc reading mechanism and motherboard replaced. Now, I’m considering putting it on the stand with my Playstation 3. Before, my Wii was in my entertainment center, but I’m not so sure it was getting enough air flow.

My question is, would it be ok to put them that close together? There’s probably a good 5-7 inches between the two, so it’s not like they’re literally right beside each other; however, I have read that putting them too close can cause problems. Advice is appreciated!

My Wii and Xbox are really close, maybe 2 inches away from each other and I’ve not had any problems. Only problem I think there would be is if you had them both switched on at the same time. Long as they are getting a proper air flow, they should be ok.
