Does the owner has to pay for damage to my property?

I can rent a farm house and the roof of the extension began leaking. It is a flat roof and water came through the roof in two places and destroyed my couch. After talking with the owner, I managed for one type of roofing material to come and take a look and see if I could fix it temporarily and then give us an appointment for a new roof, as the owner said he was "pretty sure would need a new roof for now. "After the roofer had been up and had a look told me he had been fixed / patched many times. I am so upset by the owner that has taken up my belongings have been ruined by them to do something on the roof. My mother lived with me until a year ago and she informed me that about 18 months ago, water has been coming through the fitting of the same house and after informing the owners, said if it happened only in a rain, then it would be nice when the weather got better! Anyway – my couch is ruined and I want to know who is responsible for replacing it?

Well, I know the answer to this or if they live in the UK. u can write a letter imforming what the problems that either want the problem fixed correctly in the next 28 days and that u is responces b exploitation for any damage caused to property in the mean time ur. or if no response or can be intouch with the local council of the Uruguay Round and the report to keep copies of all contacts and demand that any response from ur landlod be in writing. after contact with the u council has the right to withhold rent until the work is done or is it enough to hire or to cover the cost. u can not kick this. Also check out ur contract maybe worth contacting a lawyer for breech of contract if u get any joy. good luck hope it useful.
