safe to dura coat a taurus tracker 44mag?

i have a taurus tracker 4inch barrel stainless matte finish. i’d like to duracoat the frame coyote brown or tan and leave the cylinder, hammer, and cylinder release stainless. with the matte finish would you still have to sand the frame for the duracoat to stick well? and how tough is duracoat? would the end of the barrels duracoat flake off from the blast of the muzzle or distort the color from the blast and powder residue? i dont want to sand it then the duracoat not work and have a jacked up revolver. whats your thoughts

Yes, dura coat it. My gun smith will do a dura coat job for 30$, MUCH EASIER no equipment to buy. Stuff the muzzle with cloth to keep it out. Yes you need to sand the frame.
