How much is the cost of installing a heat pump to replace a 36 year old HVAC system for a three bedroom house?

The current system uses natural gas for heating and divide an interior / exterior system A / C. The new system uses a heat pump, which the outdoor coil should be underground for avoid being affected by cold air in winter. The heat pump must be efficient enough not need any secondary heating system, but just use the heat pump all the time, even in the coldest days, which should be possible due to the coil tube.

Do not go geothermal! sizes no ground loops right, Ive seen a lot of poorly in the ground loop geothermal heat pump. compressors to record a few years. Installation a water furnace will cost nearly 10 thousand. you will never recover the cost of it I can almost guarantee it will replace the compressor within 5 years.
