How do I add my battery power icon back on my task bar?

I have a Dell Vostro 1510 running on Windows Vista. The volume indicator doesn’t work too. Used to be I when I hit the volume +/- it would visually show me the volume indicator gauge on my screen but not anymore. I have to guess how high/low the volume is, although the icon is there.

All help is appreciated!
OH I GOT IT somehow. Idk. i STILL have the problem with the volume indicator guage! =(
