LCL impact?? Sprain or Tear?

I am a server at a restaurant and I was walking in the kitchen and I stepped on a rolly cart that is kind of similar to a dolly used for moving. It’s made of hard plastic. I stepped on the edge of it and it swung up on the other side and it had a direct impact to my LCL ligament on the inside of my right knee. I got to go home because it got a little stiff and started to swell and hurt. I will describe the pain as more of an increased soreness. It is not sharp and it did not take my breath away or anything like that, It is stiff and hurts more when I bend it inward. When it is stretched out straight it hurts a little but very little. I am putting ice on it right now and elevating it. There was a ping pong ball size knot on where I believe my LCL is before I put the ice on it. Its still there and is tender to the touch. Does this sound like a severe knee injury or something that will get better in a few days? Thanks!

p.s. i can walk on it just with a little limp action goin on

I recommend you see a medical specialist for your condition and have them perform a diagnostic test. That way, you can find out the nature & extent of the problem and a treatment plan can be formed.
