Good food, quality towels?

Kitchen towels I bought from Target and Walmart and collapse in a couple of months. When shopping for kitchen towels, Is there anything I should look? Can anyone recommend a brand that makes good kitchen towels? I just like the solid color kitchen towels. They do not have to be like Armani, but do not want them hanging threads after a few washes.

I had all my paper to almost four years (since married). The ONLY that look decent are the Williams-Sonoma, which are in very good shape after heavy use. I do not know if they come in solid colors, however. Ours are striped.
