gaps? or excuses in the mental health system?

Why the mental health profession seem to have carte blanche "miserably every time screw high profile case? For example, the Virginia Tech murderer was released from the psychiatric ward after just 2 days, because the actual shooter said its so-called "doctors" that the photographs, videotapes of himself holding guns to his head ad knives to his neck, and and written about death and destruction were satire! SATIRE ???????????????????? The EPA has always recognized that there are serious deficiencies in the system. If you ask me, there are no "loopholes" only excuses for bad healers. It happens too often to be just a fluke or the fool occasional incompetent is in the wrong job with the responsibility of making important decisions. It is time that the AMA pull the APA of the medical profession and start acting responsibly for a change!

Of course I know about "bad healers." Have you ever seen the movie "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere? Trying to decide if a criminal is insane or he was crazy @ the moment of committing a terrible crime is a tedious affair. Insurance companies own industry health care. All that matters is money, not the people they insure. This leads to shorter hospital stay when the person really needs to stay longer time or be denied life-saving procedure because the insurance will not pay for it or the insurance company will not be accepted. The health care industry began to crumble in the late 1980 with the HMO and my mother nurse said you have to hit bottom before they get better. I hope she is wrong.
