is there anything you can do for a misted used lava lamp?

i recently bought a used lava lamp , in the selling picture the liquid looked clear but in reality, its rather clouded and misty, the wax looks a little blurred in areas of the glass bottle .

i was deceived in my purchase .

i want to know ; is there anything you can do that works for a misty used lava lamp or should i set my sights at buying some more better quality lava lamps ?

they often go cloudy if shaken or moved it shoud clear up if you leave it still and upright for a couple of days, they are sealed (or should be) so nothing should have got in to it, be careful if its used as it could have been tampered with.
