Large Square Shower

Are there bath caulks that don’t dissolve with today’s shower sprays?

I have a 60+ year old tub with shower. The “tile” is large squares of glass tile which was popular in the 40′s. The caulk that I use to seal the soap dish and space between the tub all wall keeps melting. I think the cause is the soap scum remover I use. Any suggestions? A better caulk? A better cleaner?

Make sure you are using Silicone Sealer, and in particular the ones that contain mould inhibitors, designed especially for bathrooms.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry, before applying sealer, and then allow at least 24 hours for it to cure. You should get at least 3 years use out of this, before it needs replacing.
