I was looking at the base $ 189.00 L 3085 meters Sekonic light to use for my photography lights Nikon SB strobe lights and I worry that I give you the results you want? I'm leaning towards more professional services, will this be enough? lightmeters Others are around $ 600 do not know much.

The L-308s will give you a good enough read to work. The L-358 is more oriented to what you are looking, and still very affordable. If you are shooting the movie, then you need to rely on your meter, so I would buy a good one. If you are shooting digital meters are not as important in most applications, and we can just take test photos, get feedback instant, and adjust the lights and exposure from there.
