Why aren’t there any shower curtains in Prague?

Shower curtains – and shower curtain rods – don’t seem to be a given over there. I saw them in some places, but in many, many other places they just don’t exist. Is there some special technique to taking a shower without flooding the floor? Does everyone just take long baths?

What kind of places? I have one in my shower and I live in the Czech Republic. Maybe you should have knocked on my door. But seriously, many people here take their showers sitting down. That’s why you also see a lot of hand-held shower heads.
