Magazine Snack Table
My 2.5 yr old is driving me up the wall. I don’t even know where to start.?
He’s very rambunctious, demanding, busy, runs me ragged, will not let my husband help (says “that’s my mommy, not your mommy!”) and is generally driving me nuts. I dream of a harmonious home where I could maybe sit and relax and read a bit of a magazine article or work on a sewing project (while he plays with his toys) in between playing with him a bit, and getting him snacks etc. I can’t seem to establish any space for myself. He demands constant attention and also is into everything, A pile of magazines on the table get thrown around, a box of make-up is dumped over, etc. Is this a terrible two’s thing? When will it gets better? Any tips for having him understand that mommy’s going to do her own thing for a while and he can do his own thing? I’d love to peacefully co-exist occasionally!
Seems like he could use a little structure, children do as they are permitted to. You can lovingly take charge of this situation, He just 2.5 years old, now is the time to mold him. Try implementing a daily schedule which included quiet time or naptime, and take advantage of this time.
This is driving you crazy because it appears that your son is on charge of things.
