Red bump under cat chin?

My cat is about 6 1/2 years old who hates to travel. While over the holiday visiting family, I notice a small red bump under my cats chin. She hates to travel so at first I thought maybe it was stress but the bump is still there. If you dot your skin with a magic marker the size of the bump is the same size. I thought maybe it would go away but its been about two weeks and it is a red bleeding bump that had reddish brown stuff coming from the site under her chin. At first, I thought it was a tick bite but she is a inside cat. Then I thought maybe it was a breast bump or whatever there called for female cats that got infection. I put Vaseline on the site but heard that was bad so I clean the red bump with a warm wash cloth. I am short on cash but should I take my cat to the vet?

Sounds like feline acne. Dab it with peroxide and Neosporin. If it doesn’t heal or looks worse in a week, take the cat to the vet. Change the feeding bowls to stainless steel. Cats that eat from plastic bowls get acne more often.
