How do I clean my micro suede couch?
So I had a sneaky salesman that told me that if I bought this couch it comes with a 5 year plan that if I get a stain I can call and get advice on how to take it out or they will send a professional out. Of course now that I need the help they said that I don’t get that. But whatever. My dog chewed up a candy cane on my new couch while I was at work and I have little candy cane pieces stuck to it with little driblets of colored dog saliva stains on there as well. I don’t want to ruin my couch when I clean it so does anyone know a good cleaning product for my couch to get the stain out that won’t ruin it or take the color out? I know that micro suede is harder to clean. It’s a light tan couch. I can’t flip over the cushions either because it’s not the same on the other side.
use a bucket with rubbing alchohol and warm water. dip a white rag in, wring it out. try it on a few spots, rubbing in the direction of the nap. follow it up with a dry white rag. if this doesn’t work on the first few spots, then it can be steam cleaned, but make sure its a reputable company that does this. It is easy to clean micro suede if you know what you’re doing, but it’s equally easy to permanently damage it by cleaning if you don’t.
