Need ideas to fix up 2 vinyl barstools?

i have 2 vinyl barstools that i was able to keep when my restaurant went out of business. they are in okay condition except one of them has a rip in the top corner. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix them up to look kinda corky/modern, and i have no idea what to do with maroon vinyl seats- it looks like it would be hard to take the cusions off, so what could i do?

Fix the rip with fabric glue.
you could cover with travel stickers and varnish over.
OR recover with more modern vinyl stick it on top of the old seat part with copydex or similar.
Use a plate to draw the shape then cut it out.
