best way to sell art on the internet?

I’ve been painting murals for 30 years, still do window murals during the holidays, that is still going well. But the wall mural business has drop off the face of the earth with this recession. So I’ve been getting back to the grassroots and painting on canvas again. Are there any artist’s out there selling threw these online art galleries? Do they work? Or do you suggest any other venue?

An online gallery won’t make sales for you, it will allow people to see your art, which might lead to contacts.

As for how to sell your art, a lot of this depends on the nature of your art. Is it art show circuit or will you need press and gallery showings?
