Mural Decor Vinyl
i need a way to display or hang vinyl reconds on a wall, as decor?
i have a lot of awesome vinyl records, and i’d wish to display some of record covers on a wall in my living room, cover the whole wall. i dont want to damage them and i dont want to buy an individual frame for each. i would rather have them as a mural back to back, top to bottom. any ideas?? please help!! id like to take this on as a weekend project!! thanks!!!!
Well, frames are the best solution, and there are frames for vinyl records that do not have borders to you can do the collage thing. Also a lot of cheap frames come in sizes that will do well for your records. If you really don’t want frames, use metal tacks. Do not put them through the cover, damaging the records, but put them around the edges of the corners of the record so that the thumb push part pinches the record to the wall. This will cause minimal damage to the wall paint and record sleve. Anything with an adhesive will kill the paint and the album cover. It also dries out or loosens up with heat and your records will start hitting the floor (Vibration too). Use metal tacks that do not stick out from the wall. These are extremely cheap anywhere. Screws, nails and hooks will leave your wall with holes bigger than you would want to make in your wall (considering the amount of holes you need).
