Whats the difference between Lacquered and Oil finished solid wood flooring?

Having decided to go with solid wood flooring, i have another conundrum, what type of finish is bets. Having looked at whats available, i’m seeing Oil finished for £60 -£70 per sq m and Lacquered from £30 + per sq m. Now i have about 30 sq m to do, so the cost difference is fairly huge, but i don’t want to regret what i put down.

“laquered” is varnished with a wear resistant material,
“oil finished” is treated with an oil e.g. teak oil.
The laquered is probably the easiest to maintain, but in my opinion the oiled timber has a much more natural finish but
does require re-treating from time to time.
Also check out the thickness of the boards, sometimes the
laquered is much thinner.
