home decorating advice?

My husband hates floral patterns and any type of floral decoration. I'm so tired of stripes, plaids and squares. Our house is a blank canvas other than the square area rugs issues (none of them match) and our shower curtain band. We have a Black Leather sofa we are still paying … so you have to keep. I want our home feel inviting and together … as a model home. But it tastes horrible. I only $ 8/hour and earns $ 30 an hour. Their attitude is that for more … what it says … "OK." ugh. Any ideas? You have to go to stores like Home Goods and Marshalls. They have so many things and prices are unbeatable. You really can find original pieces there too. You have to find the style calls your name, I love Tuscany. My husband isn't the floral either. This style is old world, but not "girlie." Not Asia, Morocco, modern – you can always go modern, with a few pieces of different style and make that eclectic.
