Question HVAC – Rheem furnace filter mesh can be stored is replaced with HEPA filter type folds?

I have a Rheem Classic 90 oven that was installed ago several years. Wine stocks with a thin plastic mesh reusable filter that I remove and clean every few months. I think a HEPA filter paper type would work much better to filter the air. The plastic filter mesh of values ​​seem to open your excess tissue to be really effective with dust and other allergens (which have pets).
