Can my landlord tell me not to put a portable air conditioner in my apartment, you pay for electricity?

He pays the electricity, I I offered to pay more to cover the cost. Get 95 in our apartment and the heat is really bad. Is a power of air conditioning system for everything need is a hose through the window. What's the big deal if I have to pay extra?

Sam, as an owner who can say no to reason out the window unit.The CA may be that the wiring is not sufficient to handle the load that the unit can draw. Like the house I have the wiring is old style Nob & Tube landless. If my tenant up going to ask you to put on a drive i ca should have new wiring installed in the socket closest to the window unit to put in. Now, if my tenant was willing to pay part of the cost associated with this I'd be more than willing to leave his post one in Hope this helps.
