Airaid Mustang Intake Systems

Airaid was established in 1997 when it began building and developing systems for light trucks and SUV’s. It only took five years for the company to fully establish it’s self and became one of the Mustang Intake leaders. In the late 90′s many companies came out with different types of cold air intakes but Airaid has strived to stay on top with their constant research and drive to find a better way. Airiad founders are committed to producing better quality filters utilizing new technology and state of the art materials. The way an Airaid Intake works is by shortening the distance the air has to travel. Airaid has also smoothed out the inside of the intake tube to decrease the amount of obstacles that slow down the air flow. By feeding your engine more air, you’ll bring out the true potential of your Mustang. The air flow can be increased by as much as 20%, your power (about 20 hp), more torque (up to 20ft-lbs) and often better fuel economy (1-2 mpg, depending on conservative driving). The Airaid Intake tube is a beefy 4″ which is the largest on the market, one more reason why the Air Intake gets more air to your engine. The Airaid premium filters are made up of multiple layers of cotton gauze with a layer of a synthetic fiber called SynthaFlow, in between a layer of either an aluminum mesh or a stainless steel mesh. SynthaFlow is a synthetic fiber that traps the smallest dirt particles that ordinary gauze performance filters can’t capture. The intake housing or casing is made up of urethane, which helps with the durability and performance of your Airaid Intake system. The urethane casing helps prevent cracks and won’t shrink from too much heat exposure. With an Airaid Intake you will be dramatically increasing the air flow to your engine which gives impressive gains in horsepower and torque. They are custom fit for your specific model and year of Mustang. The filter that is included with your Airaid Intake kit is completely washable and reusable and lasts the life of your vehicle. Airiad Intakes are available in two different designs. It will replace the whole factory intake tube and air box. It makes for an easy installation that can be done with ordinary tools and there isn’t any drilling required. The Airaid Intake is also street legal in all 50 states and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
