Need ideas for privacy where there is no door.?

I moved to a new apt and there is no door in the bedroom. It is a very open floor and I'm looking for some ideas in a creative way to cover the door (which is quite large) of privacy. Also I have a washer and dryer in my dining area no … attractive … ideas on how to cover it with good taste. I can not set up any hardware (cabinet doors and such). Please help!

Ive used some solutions the past include: windows, curtains, bead curtains, shower curtain / tension rods. My favorite was a display that we built with bubble wrap and wire neon. People were too busy looking at the "art installation" to realize that he was hiding anything:) In your case with a wide open I think I would floor to ceiling, near curtains and drapes. make it look to the naked eye as a window fisrt.
