Clean white stripe on the Persian rug?

Hello – anyone have a good way to clean the white strip on a large Persian rug? I hate to to send, as dirt does not appear anywhere else. Only normal use has dirty looking areas on the same stretch. My concern is to keep looking outside withough as new as possible fragmentation of the fibers or anything. Thanks for any help.
