Carpet: What size I need, that is, the bigger the table should be?

Besides, jute be good as I imagine many spills. Any ideas? And, doi really need a rug pad? Thanks!

Design rule is that your carpet should be 24 "behind chair with someone sitting. Mine is much less, perhaps 12 to 18 "and works well. Jute works, but is a little difficult to clean. On the positive side, showing no spills too. If you have cats, you might think you bought for your needs scratching. Invest in a good track if you want to extend carpet life your carpet or rug is thin and stiff enough to slide.
