Shower Arm Pipe

Help! I want to install a shower filter, but my arm is lame old shower and do not know what to do. ?

Okay, so I'd like to get shower filter, but I have a stupid shower arm old (the previous model with a ball-shaped end spinning) and nothing seems to be consistent. From what I understand, I have to replace it with one that has a threaded end. How do I can do that? Vivo is a strict apartment building and I can not go ripping out pipes. I looked at the base and there was no milk (as called) that worries me play. Ugh, my landlord is going to kill me if I mess anything! Help!

If the ball is in the head the shower, the other end has yet to slacken. If so, loosen, get one that is placed at both ends, put tape on it, screw it back together, put the filter on it and your new shower head and go.
