Need help identifying great-grandma’s dining set?

I am trying to locate information on my great-grandmother’s dining room set. I have searched ebay and various antique sites with no luck. Here is what I know: at least 65 yrs old, owned in Massachusetts, glue was used in chair assembly (now dried out and chairs are weak), dovetails on drawers (not uniform in size), set includes rectangular table with extensions on either end, a buffet and 6 side chairs, honey colored solid wood, the only mark is “No. 531 Maple.” stenciled on the back of the buffet. My aunt tells me that the set is made from solid rock maple and was made by Cushman (looks similar to pieces in the Colonal Creations line but I’m doubtful because there are no labels). My husband wants to buy a new dining set (made with veneers!) but I love this set and I’m thinking about getting it restored. Perhaps if I had more information I could change his mind. I have photos if anyone is interested.

Also, Cushman ususally has an oval brass metal kind of tag on the bottom of the piece by the number.
