How I can wire a vessel powered by a single pole switch?
the single-pole switch is controlling a light. I receptacle always hot wire through the switch.
You have to realize that they have a black (hot) and white (neutral) and common (ground) The switch is only on one line, the ether black or white, and has nothing to do with the other. The theory is, if it breaks the current on one side breaks the power light goes off. To put an electrical outlet is hot all the time means to go to the outlet, located on both sides at the same time, before the change.
