Some safety precautions when bathing in outdoor Jacuzzi Hot tubs

Hottubs aficionados all over the world agree that Jacuzzi hot tubs are simply the best kind of at-home stress relief you could ever have. There is nothing more effective in releasing some day-long stress than lounging in Jacuzzi hot tubs after a day’s worth of tension. Hottubs are great appliances to have at home but extra care and precaution should always be observed when using hottubs to ensure everyone’s safety and well<-being.

Always remember to check if the water in your Jacuzzi hot tubs is balanced. Certain TA and pH levels have to be maintained for health reasons and to avoid the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms. You can get appropriate water test strips to check if the water is properly balanced. If you wish to do so, you may also take a sample of your water to a local pool to be tested.

Never use any electronic devices while in the Jacuzzi hot tubs. Hottubs are filled with water and any electronic devices that may come in contact with the water may cause major danger in the part of the bather. Electrocution is a major cause of danger in the hottubs. Keep your hair dryers, TV sets, radios, laptops, etcetera, no where near or at least 5 feet away from the tub to eliminate any possibility of the electronic device to get wet or tipping over and falling into the water.

When bathing in Jacuzzi hot tubs, avoid putting your head under water. Hottubs have drains and powerful suction mechanisms in their pumps. Putting your head under water might cause your hair to be entangled in the drain. No matter if the water in the tub is relatively shallow, it may still cause drowning, especially if your hair gets tangled in the drains. If you have long hair, it would be best to tie your hair up.

Always keep an eye on small children. Never let children bathe in the Jacuzzi hot tubs without any adult supervision, nor should you let them bathe when the water temperature is higher than 92 degrees and for more than 10 minutes. Children may thrash around or go under water and drown. Also, assist them in getting in and out of the water. Educate the children about proper sanitation and hygiene when inside the tub.

The Jacuzzi hot tubs are places for relaxation and soaking in after a stressful day. They are not places to clean yourself up. Do not attempt to shampoo your hair or soap your body while inside the hottubs. Do those things in the bathroom or in the shower. We are trying to maintain a certain level of cleanliness in the tub.

Install non-skid and anti-slip mats or surfaces around the Jacuzzi hot tubs. Slipping or sliding may cause extensive injury and sometimes, even death, Also, install hand rails for grabbing on to while getting in and out of the Jacuzzi hot tubs, It is best to also install towel hangers within reach of the hottubs for wiping wet feet as people get out of the tub.

Do not take pets into the tub and always make sure that the Jacuzzi hot tubs are tightly and securely covered when not in use. There are appropriate hottubs covers available in the market. Please do not use tarpaulin or soft plastic covers because a pet or a small child may fall through and suffocate or drown in the tub.

Lastly, it is always best to soak in the tub with a friend or two with you. Apart from the fact that having a companion or two is more fun than soaking alone, having a companion with you will be of great advantage in case of trouble in the hottubs.
