How do I get my smoke detector to stop chirping when hard-wired for electricity?
My smoke alarm began chirping at 4:27 a.m. today. Can not you just love doing that? So I made a lot of research here, and everyone is saying to replace the batteries in my smoke detector, but I can not open the detector. What's more is that it is wired in the ceiling, but when I removed the ceiling smoke detector, it seems as if it never really connected to begin with, so I do not know what to do now.
They still have a backup battery. They would not have worthless if the power went out right? But trust me they all have batteries in them. I just try to take the thing apart as possible. And if it was connected to start as could not sing? haha. Good luck. Maybe find the line that the number of detector model.
