Sofa Chair Foot

My tiny living room is 8.5 x 13. I need help decorating.?

My living room is actually 12.5 x13, but the the xtra 4 feet is my entry door. So when you walk into my house, to the left of my door is the 8.5×13 that I have to decorate. So I have purchased a 66L x 40D loveseat to go on one of the 8.5 walls and want to put 2 chairs with a table between the chairs on the other wall. I need some decorating ideas. I want more than just a sofa, two chairs and a table in the room. So take away the 40″ depth of the sofa and estimating the depth of chairs (36″) I have about 5.5 feet of open space.

I like color – so what color can I paint my room with the ‘sand-color sofa? My dream was to paint my walls the color peach; but I fell in love with this sofa and don’t know what color would work well w/sand.

You can use quite a bit of different colors with sand,maybe a nice light apricot?or a sage green?Try and see if you can put the sofa free standing,it doesnt necessarily have to be against the wall,and that will free up some space for a nice shelf unit(small) or another chair.If you get a table try to make it glass topped to visually open space up,and remember,most people have a problem with scale,so always measure twice,and it helps to take a pic with your camera to have with you when you shop so you can keep in mind space issues,its easy to forget when your swept away by something pretty! And the devil is always in the details,you can have a sparsely furnished room,but with the right accesories it will shine!
