Can solar panels to heat the pool is used for household purposes?

Hello, my father just bought a house that has solar panels on the roof to heat water for your pool. The water passes through pipes by the panels and flows back into the pool. I wonder if there is any way to use solar energy to other areas of the house. The panels were placed in when the house was built in the mid 80's and the house is in the Central Florida / E. Orlando. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can use to heat water for the home, supplementing your water heater. These panels have just been made compulsory in Hawaii. During the summer, when not needed to heat the pool, you can add a valve and the pipe to send water from the panels for hot water heater. "Imintowater" has a point, you do not want use the same pool water to drinking water, and would have a valve system to prevent mixing, unless you have installed a heat exchanger to the fluid passes through the panels only transfers heat to the water without mixing with it.
