How I can remove the paint finish solid oak baseboards, besides the great mess of using paint remover?

Sockets have had on the walls. The only reason I do not want to mess with paint remover, is the former owners of the house also painted jambs door and I do not want to have to replace those, or repaint them when they are still in place. Trim work has or has had a good coat of polyurethane on it, but removes the paint stripper and a cop. Any help or stories of old will be accepted.

Try a heat gun, that's what I used to strip all wood in my house 120 years old.
