Please provide a rating for bass, clarity, and for value (best speaker for that money or not)

I outfitted my parent’s Home Theater with this exact setup. (minus the subwoofer, we used a Harmon Kardon TS5) You won’t be disappointed if you love to watch Blu-ray’s or DVD’s, but if you are looking for audiophile surround.

I suggest Mirage OMD-15 package with a velodyne subwoofer.
