A gravity gun to paint a pretty good alloy finish or better to go for compressed air gun?

I would paint a metal alloy finish and want a proffesional looking gun and I wonder if gravity feed paint spray guns will give a good result or if I go with the compressed air route is a more expensive set up? I also see the games to a gun shop that is attached to a canister of compressed air hand, this work can be?

Gravity paint guns still use compressed air. The only difference is that the glass containing the paint is above the gun instead of down, like a siphon feed gun. If it's a gun, you still need the air pressure.
