Consumers ‘don’t want to spend too much on bathrooms’

When consumers are looking to buy bathroom supplies such as shower pumps, many will be keen to get bargains.

This is true at any time, but perhaps more so at present given the tough nature of the economic conditions that are affecting many nations around the world.

According to Jack Suvak, director of market research and insights at Moen, homeowners currently want to make alterations to their abodes without putting too much money into them, the Edmonton Sun reports.

He remarked: “Consumers today are looking to ‘remodel-lite’ – that is, refresh a room with only a few items and with a minimal investment.

“But at the same time, they want their home improvement project to make a significant impact on their home, in terms of both style and functionality.”

The publication noted that it is possible to get bathroom supplies, potentially including shower pumps, in small groups, rather than tackling the whole room at once.

It also pointed out that while it is difficult for people to add more square footage to their bathrooms, making changes such as adding better storage can make a real difference to the feel of a space.

For example, new accessories such as towel rails and dressing gown hooks can enhance the room.

This breaks up the cost of the changes and makes them more manageable as a result.

The news provider went on to state: “No matter what your style, bath accessories will add a beautiful and functional update. [Also,] after focusing on new finishes for your accessories, take your bathroom from blah to beautiful with a splash of colour.”

Additionally, it suggested that consumers should ensure they add “plush, soft accents” to their bathrooms, such as rugs, window valances and fabric shower curtains, in order to contrast with the “hard, slick” surfaces that characterise the spaces.
